The use of pink in the skies was deliberate. I don’t know the origin of the phrase, but the term ‘in the pink’ often means to be in good health. The phrase actually predates the colour pink, I believe! But I wanted to use that colour for the skies because it seems like, so often, our moments of tranquility come at a price. Maybe we’ve made it over huge personal mountains to make it there. Maybe we are going over the mountains right now, only to see more in the distance.
